Engagement of Project Personnel for the Project
“Assessment of disease prevalence in ungulates in Mizoram”
WALK- IN / ON LINE INTERVIEW
The Wildlife Institute of India, Dehra Dun invites application for engagement of the following Project Personnel in the Project “Assessment of disease prevalence in ungulates in Mizoram”purely on contractual basis for a period of 6 months (likely to be extended). The project proposes to assess the prevalence of infectious diseases in selected PAs in Mizoram with special reference to pathogens that caused mortality of wild and domestic ungulates in the recent past. Candidates willing to work in field for sample collections and in Lab to conduct analytical works may apply.
Engagement Position: Project Assistant (01 position)
Essential Qualification (EQ): B.Sc. degree (Life Sciences)
Desirable Qualification (DQ): Experience in molecular work/ disease diagnosis/field work
Work description: Carryout field work for sample collections from wild / domestic ungulates and conduct analytical works in laboratory, assist in report writing
Duration:6 months(likely to be extended)
Location of Project sites: Field sites and lab in Mizoram, and HQ
Age: Not exceeding 50 years as on the date of interview. Upper age limit in case of applicants belonging to SC/ST/OBC categories may be relaxed as per the rules.
Emoluments: Rs 20,000/- month + HRA as admissible

Mode of Selection and other conditions:
1. The selection of the candidates will be in accordance with the performance in the interview and in order of merit as decided by the Interview Committee. All original documents should be produced at the time of interview. The decision of the Institute’s Committee in all matters relating to eligibility, work experience, acceptance or rejection of application will be final and binding on the candidates and no enquiry or correspondence will be entertained from any individual.
2. The candidates are required to submit their completed application forms in PDF format, with accompanying attachments, by email (with subject line: “Application for the post of Project Assistant-I in Project” to registrarpr@wii.gov.in not later than 1700 hrs on 31stJanuary 2022.
3. Application forms needs to be typed according to the prescribed format and must be accompanied by: (a) Scanned copies of educational qualifications, and (b) Scanned copies of experience letter/ certificate, failing which applications will not be considered.
4. Candidate should also send typed application form in hard copy along with self-attested copies of certificates, work experience and publications in hard copy by speed post or courier with title on envelope “Application for [Post Name] – “Assessment of disease prevalence in ungulates in Mizoram” and soft copy (pdf only) email to registrarpr@wii.gov.in by 31stJanuary 2022.
5. The applications received after the deadline will be rejected by the Institute.
6. The shortlisted candidates will be notified (through email and website notification) for online personal interview by 4th February 2022. The online interview will be held on 7thFebruary 2022 from 1000 hrs onwards.
7. At the time of verification of original documents, if it is found that an attempt has been made by the applicant to will fully conceal, misrepresent or canvass the facts, his/her candidature will not be considered.
8. The positions advertised are purely temporary/ contractual for the project period only and will stand abolished after completion of the project.
9. The tenure in the project will be governed by the Institute’s rules and regulations
10. Relaxation in Age will be given as per Govt. of India norms
11. After announcement of the results, the candidate should join the project immediately.
12. The Director, WII reserves the right to reject any candidature in view of incomplete information provided by the candidate or for any other reason thereof.
